Central Kids

Children are an important part of Central Christian and our ministry to them is taken very seriously. Jesus established the importance of Central Kids when He said to the disciples, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Central Kids is a place to support parents in teaching God’s plan for their lives. It is also a place where children can make Christian friends and have the support of Christian people.

We believe the primary responsibility for training a child belongs to the parents. The church provides support to the parents through a variety of studies, classes and ministries.

King's Kids

Director
of Early Childhood Ministry

At King's Kids, we believe that even the youngest child can begin learning about Jesus through love, nurturing, and intellectual stimulation.

The nursery at Central is not the place of the 1950's. Then, the focus was on the nursery being in a custodial role.

Today, we want to provide a place that parents can be involved in serving to God's glory while sharing with children. By maintaining a parent partnership, the children are nurtured and loved. Teaching them Godly play stimulates their intellects.

We welcome servants from all walks of life. Feel free to stop by and see which area is for you.

Early Childhood Director

As part of this commitment we require that ALL children, Infant to 5th Grade, be registered prior to participation in any Central Kids' activity.

It is also important to note that only a child’s parents or permanent guardians will be allowed to pick him or her up.

All children, infants through 5th Grade need to be checked in at the new automatic check-in counter in the main lobby before the service begins.

For our first time visitors or our unregistered regular attendees, a Family Registration Form will need to be completed at your next visit to have your children permanently entered into our automatic check-in.

Children will be accepted at their drop off location fifteen minutes prior to the service and must already be checked in and wearing their name badge. We also discourage parents from picking up their children before the service is over as it can cause significant disruption to the Central Kids' teaching environment.

K-5: Chapel

Radical Zone & Small Groups
Kindergarten through 5th Grades meet in the Chapel for a time of Praise & Worship & big group lesson time called RADICAL ZONE.  They are then dismissed to classrooms at 9:30 for small group discussion and activities.

Wee Worship
Wee Worship is a fun learning environment for preschool children ages four and five. Activities include playing games inside and outside (weather permitting), putting together puzzles, singing songs, listening to a Bible story and then answering questions regarding the story, coloring a picture about the story, and watching videos that both entertain and teach godly principles. Parent volunteers are needed to assist with this fun group of kids. Wee Worship meets Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in A-11.

Children’s Church
Children’s Church at Central Christian is founded on two biblical principals. The first is found in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it when he is old.” The second principle is found in Matthew 19:14, “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” With these as the foundation, we add a tremendous amount of love, fun, and excitement to create a unique spiritual learning experience for the children. The morning program is laid out with many of the same events that you will find in the main sanctuary: praise and worship time, communion, offering, prayer time and a solid teaching message. Children’s Church is for Kindergarten through 3rd grade and meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel.

Pre-teen worship:
Our desire for Pre-teen Worship is for the 4th and 5th graders to begin to draw lines in their lives and to know God and who he is so well that they will make right choices in life. We pray that they will have a vibrant and real relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that this is the perfect time for these children to really learn what they believe so as they go into the adolescent years there is less confusion in their lives. We play games, study the Bible, join in communion together, and we come to know Christ in a practical way that we pray will apply to the lives of our precious 4th and 5th graders. Pre-teen worship meets at 10:30 a.m. in Multipurpose Room.
