I want to let you know that, after much prayer and consideration, I have made the decision to officially inform our elders of my decision to step down as the Senior Pastor of Central Christian Church effective July 1, 2006.
As I have told you over the past weeks, I'm convinced the Lord has led me in this decision and I believe that setting this timetable will help in the transition.
However, after I relinquish these duties and responsibilities on July 1st, the elders have asked me if I would continue to stay on and fill the pulpit, preaching each weekend until Central’s new Senior Pastor is chosen and in place. I have happily agreed to do that!
Please continue to earnestly pray for our Senior Pastor Search Committee as they seek God’s will in this very important process. They are great people, as are all our elders, and they all deserve your prayerful support!
I will look forward to seeing you this weekend!
