Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker
Ellen earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, cum laude, with a major in Psychology. She earned a Master of Social Work Degree with honors at the University of Oklahoma.
Ellen has worked with families and children for over 25 years, specializing in family communication and skills enhancement, as well as work with children and adults who are survivors of sexual abuse. She has also worked in the areas of adoption/foster care, attachment issues and substance abuse. Ellen has current and recent experience working with teens who are self-mutilating (cutters).
Ellen works from a strengths perspective, identifying and building on the strengths a person or family already possesses. She is currently certified as a Love and Logic Parenting Instructor and offers ongoing parenting classes.
