Emily Ziegler, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Emily Ziegler earned a Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) and Master of Science degree in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University. She specialized in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition, she has also completed three days of intensive play therapy training through the KC Play Therapy Institute. Emily is currently a licensed marriage and family therapist and is working toward obtaining her clinical license. She has plans to begin a post-masters certificate program in child/play therapy.

Emily has worked with children, individuals, couples, and families in several different settings. She has experience working with a variety of presenting problems including marital problems, separation anxiety, adoption adjustment, anger management, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, self-image issues, eating disorders, and suicidal ideation.

She has also provided workshops for foster parents through Kansas Children’s Service League on a range of child and family related topics. Emily is particularly passionate about working with children’s issues and disordered eating problems.

Emily aims to provide warmth, genuineness, empathy, and a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship with each client. She approaches therapy from a cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and systemic perspective to help clients achieve their identified goals. Emily is married and currently resides in Wichita, KS.
