Phil Ashley, LCMFT
Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist

Phil is a native of Wichita. He attended Wichita public schools and graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 1973. He holds a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy and M.S. in Family Therapy from Friends University. He attended Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee for Bible training.

He has pastored churches in Tennessee, Indiana and Kansas. In 1993, Phil founded Resource Family Counseling, a family counseling ministry to Hutchinson, Great Bend, Newton, Haysville, Halstead and Valley Center. He has spoken at many revivals, meetings, workshops and conventions. For four years he was coordinator of Marriage and Family workshops at the Kansas Leadership and Sunday School Convention.

Phil is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. He works with families from a Solution-Focused approach emphasizing client’s strengths and goals. He also works with many men in the area of sexual addiction. He does a great amount of pre-marital counseling and is certified in the Prepare/Enrich pre-marital and marital inventory.

In 2005, Phil and his wife Janet celebrated 30 years of marriage. They have three adult children and are the proud grandparents of three grandsons. Phil also enjoys the Nash Metropolitan automobile of which he is the owner of two cars.
