Marriage Mentoring

Mentorees may be helped in three phases of their marriage relationships.

  • Newly Married - The mentoring aims to ensure marital success by laying the foundation for a lifetime of commitment to each other.
  • Average or Good Marriages – The mentoring assists couples to go from average or good to great. It is designed to equip couples to excel in their marriages, have vision for their marriage, their children, and their ministry together.
  • Struggling Marriages – The mentors work with couples facing marital challenges. Examples would include addictions, blended families, couples who have lost a child, or couples who have experienced and survived infidelity. Some struggling marriages may need to be referred to a professional marriage counselor.

How does the mentoring relationship actually work?

Mentoring arrangements are worked out by each Mentoring and Mentoree couple. They decide when they will meet, where they will meet, how often they will meet, and make a commitment to it.

We can provide materials and/or curriculum that the couples can work through as part of their time together. This ministry offers great flexibility and the freedom to adjust to circumstances and change plans.

Furthermore, the program can be tailored by the Mentoring couple to meet the specific needs of the Mentoree couple.

How often do couples meet? Couples typically meet for an average of 12 to 18 months.
